Whispers

Only the Sun’s Opulent  Rays

and Golden Warmth

On a Day

Where

a Warm Breeze

Caresses,

and then

Gently

Pushes It’s Influence

Over My Face,

Seems to Peer

into

My Mind

I Relent

Quickly,

in Remembrance,

a Smile,

a Time,

a Day,

a Scent,

a Touch

Face of a Past,

that is Not Always

So Distant Anymore

Pulled to the Foreground,

the Now

Brought Back,

Oh, such a Short Period of Time,

Triggered Recollections,

a Flood of so Many

Finally

Connecting The Days

of a Youth

thought Long Lost,

to a Life,

so Close

Reaching Out to Touch,

alas,

the Moment’s Gone

Imprisoned No Longer,

Tears Finally Escape

the Confinement,

of

My Eyes

Words Shared Again,

alas Comforted

Peace Made

Past Misgivings

Just That,

No More.

Whispered Words

Through Quivering Lips

Thank You

Never To Be Forgotten.

Questions and Searching

(1)

Desperate and Curious

I’m in Search of Living Proof of a Higher Powers Workings in My World

Is It in The Bag Lady’s Squeaky Cart Rolling across the Sidewalk of Suburbia?

Is It in the Ruddy Complexion of the Corner Pub’s Long-time Resident Lout?

Is It In The Angry and Hateful Rhetoric of the Mega-Church’s Limo tending and Armani Clad

Preacher?

Is It In The Homeless Man’s Slow and Struggling Aimless Wanderings?

Is It Perhaps in The Collective Wisdom in the Works of The Near and Far Poets?

Is It Perhaps Somewhere Deep Behind The Steely Gaze of the Gang Bangers?

(2)

Determined and Undeterred

I Find Solace, and Specks of Evidence Perhaps…

In The Selfless Volunteers that Provide Aid to The Hungry, Homeless, and Downtrodden?

In The Repairing and Defending of Battered Women and Abused Children?

In The Giving of Time, Money, Food, Effort at Animal Shelters?

In The AAA Sponsor’s Knowing, and Well Experienced Console?

In The Teacher’s Offhours  Mentoring of Needy Students?

In The Fireman’s Daring Rescue in The Cold of Night?

In The Policeman’s Stoic Presence on a Crimescene?

In The Doctor’s Accurate Analysis and Possible Resolution Plan for Someone Afflicted with Disease?

In The Company and Shared Conversations of Old Sages?

(3)

Resolution  or Further Contemplations

Answers Perhaps Found in The Rolling Sound of a River’s Steady Flow….

Answers Perhaps Found  In the Playful Chatterings of Squirrels in Fall

Answers Perhaps Found in The Bite of a Winter’s Cold Wind

Answers Perhaps Found in The Great Lakes Deep Waters

Answers Perhaps Found in the Earthen Pathways of the Forest

Or  Perhaps in The Waking Up To the Promise and Potential of a New Day…..

pavor nocturnus

The Shadowy Ones Pass and Continue to Dart About The Room..

I Stare Ahead

Sweating More and More, No Longer Capable of Noticing the Increased Trembling.

Mommy..?
Pitter-Patter Heart Races, Pulse Speeding…….

There in the Corner, Something Moves, or a Trick of The Moon’s Light?

…in The Hallway, Did Something Just Walk Past?

On The Ceiling, The Light Fixture Seems to Sway

Closet Door Opening…… Squea-eeeeeaaakkkkk…..

Daddy..?

Quickly Jumping Back in Bed….

Clutching Pillow, Slithering Back Under The Sleeping Bag

….It’s Not Real, It’s Not Real, It’s Not Real

WAKE UP!  It’s Only a Bad Dream…….

Sleep..?
=================================================
Damn the Phantoms and Their Foul Screams….

Chased Here and There, Through the Countless and Never-ending Foggy Corridors
umbra, penumbra, and antumbra

Teasing My Mind’s Eye With Thine Heinous Flicks

Torment My Soul to it’s Very Last Step and Scream

Sleep?

…… is Not Mine to be Had

Haiku(05/14/2012)

Dandelion Blush

Colour Splashed against the Sun

Head Beyond Green Sod

Headed Fervor Split

Quarrelsome Rapscallion Waits

Hinting Task Replete

Levee Holding Back

Adam’s ale Abounding near

Cataclysmic Force

Blue Skies Hope Rising

Wonders Never Cease Divine

Replace and Repair

Antipathy Juice

Emanation Soon Juts Forth

Life-force Races Out

Farmer X

Only Light Clouds, City Lights, and the Blinking Stars-

Dare to Betray The Night Sky’s Darkness.

A Relative Still and Peace Comes Upon The Hinterland,

Temporarily Quieting The Neverending List of Daily Tasks.

Soil Turned, Seeds Planted, Finally Awaiting The Rain to Whet Growth.

Haiku for Saturday Evening

Arrival New Light

Positivity Reborn

Reclaimed Hope Resounds

Burnt Orange Sunset

Life’s Stilling Sky Hides Stars Nigh

Oncoming Evintude

Laborious Spell

Tangent Equidistant Foes

Arrival Soon Comes

Charlatan hell-bent

Chaos Mitigated Sense

Prancing Swagger Norm

Asseverate Means

Cocooned Perpetuation

Inclined Adamance

Visions from the Hereafter: Fall of the Damned

Visions from the Hereafter: Fall of the Damned (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Twilight

Hipster Chic, Non-Chalant Strut Uptown, Eyes Peering from Drab Tenements, Battleworn and Battleweary, Bolt Doors-Fear and Desperation Rule.

Boot-heels Beat in Time the Well Worn Cement Walks. Demi-Gods Once Walked Here, Now Pander to Only Soulless Curs.

Cadenced Speech Patterns, Revisited Patterns with the Continued Hope of Reviving Old Ghosts.

Corner Strumpet’s Sly, Suggestive Callings, Tilt Head Forward, Revealing Traced Lips, Piss Lined Alley as Workspace amongst the Cans and Rats.

Junkman Pedals Soul-Sucking Brown Dynamo, Trickster’s Darkest Void Eyes, Tracked Arms and Wrists Play Out as Roadmap for the Damned.

Pinched Tricks, Carrying Poison Home to Waiting Smiles, Coitus Reveals and Unwields Clap, Unchecked Pains-No Remorse Possible.

Products of the Decaying Metropolis.

After All, Hell’s a-Beckoning Just a Short Distance Off.
