The Roaring Of Dragons(That Cannot be Seen)

Cellular Level Invaders

Of  Lurking  Dangers Underneath

Striking ‘fore Awareness

Endless Strings of Tests, Numb

Diagnosis Frozen Standstill

Realities of Shock

How Long or Short the Span, Time Stilled

Testing Mettle, Gauge Inner Resolve

Soul-Searching Trudge Ahead

Surgeries, Extractions, Healings

Soul-Searching, Reaching Deep Inside

Finding New Meanings, Clarity

This Piece Was Inspired By Robert Gibbons  Piece ‘A Lump’-For Breast Cancer Awareness)……and on a More Personal Level for My Own Father(Leonard) Who Passed on Some 17 Years Earlier after a Courageous Battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Enmity Poison

Roots Growth At Standstill Deep Down

Decay of  Whole Starts

Fragmentation Start

To the Winds Many Pieces

Flung Far and Wide Strewn

Tenterhooks(for Tony I*….of Complex Friends and even More Complex Friendships)

Here to There

Anywhere yet Everywhere

But Yet Intended

Not Painless

In Search of

Smallest Corners

Hiding Places

Blind Amblings

and Scamperings

States of Discord

What Casts the Many Dour Shadows Long and Tall?

New Patch for My Bag

Course of Engagement

Battleline Drawn in the Fields of Dust

To Be Fought Over the Decaying Corpse of Broken Ideals,

and Fallacies of the Blind and Stupid.

Unbendingand Intolerant Religiosity and Not-so-Well Hidden Prejudices,

The New Patches and Badges

That Decorate a Side of Combatants

The Battlecalls Trail into Fading Echoes of Warped Fantasies

That Were Never Meant to be.

Bow to a New Looking Flag,

Ignoring What the Old Paradigm Supposedly Once Stood for.

Stomping of Feet Quicken , the Clapping of Hands and Chanting Implore

As Ares, Alala, and Androktasiai Look On with Pride and Smile……

Twin Points Of Light

Setting Out

Traversing  Their Way through Many Places and Varied Experiences

The Many Years Pass

The Paths Narrow

Sharing and Mixing  the Sum of Two

Fall Poem(Autumnal Winds of Change)

As Summer Excused Itself,

and Became a Distant Mem’ry

Fall Steps In.

Colours of the Season

Leaves of Burnt Orange, Reds, Various Hues of Brown, Yellow,

and still a Few Stubborn Green Filtered atop the Undisturbed Grass Below.

Squirrells Chasing Up and Down Trees up and Down The Long Winding Paths of Fabyan Parkway.

Birds Chatter is Nature’s Music to My Ears.

The Scents of Nature Breaking Down the Summer Season Just Past,

As a Cold Wind Reminds that Winter is Just around the Corner, with Hints of

The Thirty-Some Degree Temperatures.

Rolling Clouds Never Hastened that Day’s Journey to The Past Historical Glories along the Fox River.

I Reach Back to the Car in Time for the Rain to Begin to Fall.

loved ones suffer...

The Day-by-Day eventually became Many a Year

Helplessly, I Watched  as an  Invisible and Soundless Plunderer

Of Mind and Memories Slowly but Steadily Chipped away at the Whole Person.

Oh Dementia , How I Loathe Your Thieving Ways!

The Mind becomes Blanker,

Staggered Recollection of  Persons, Places, Events and Things-

-from the Past On Occasion Came to Light.

Injuries Accumulated, Chipping Away the Physical Self, Injuries, Surgeries, Hospital Stays

Numbly, I Walk Yet Another Hospital’s Marbled Hall

Struggle with The Pained Reality that the Future Brings.

For All of Those Who have Loved Ones Suffering from Dementia, Alzheimers, and Multiple Sclerosis.

Troubled Waters Move

Ripples Hiding Stern Currents

Downstream Washes Fuss

 Fantasy Invades

Inner Resolve Compromised

Fate Hangs in Balance

Calculating Sage

Reflecting Ancient Wisdom

Haltingly Takes Steps

Furtive Reprobate

Abrogating Moral Guise

Compromised Edict
