Ahead
only the sounds of happiness
children
of different races and creeds
freely mixed and played
under a shaded canopy
trees stretching into the sky
their youthful minds
only aware
of green grass and games
behind
the sounds and mixed conversations of the adult world
echoed on into the afternoon

confluence and convergence
those daring chase any slivers of hope
…..clearly hearing celestial harmonies
amongst the droning cacophony of the day
equity and symmetry
like countless shards of refracted light
…..hope, within trails of positivity
facing an overwhelming burden of adversity
perhaps, in the end
only utopian flavoured pipe dreams….
But,
ever searching…..
ever hoping….
ever reaching….
ever longing….
