shadows creep in often
childhood dreams
into adulthood
people and rivers
always in shades of gray
never having changed
but all long gone
rooted down and deep

perhaps the past holds many shades and colors never seen when it was the present…

now picturing swirls of abstract painting done in colors of plastic-wrap 🙂 they say to let go of the past, but i say happiness has richer tones if you incorporate it……..with the now. suppose has to do with responsibility. we study the lines (between the greys). “you can’t please everyone, so you’ve got to please yourself.”
