The Bitter End(Magog)
I may not see tomorrow
nor care to witness…..all the complete woe
hear the cries….and moans
of all…that might be left
the tormented, tortured, discarded…and damned
rivers of filth…..our own toxic concoctions
oceans of garbage…debris…indifference
once proof of our existence…..our not caring
beginnings…origins
such trails of despair……despoliation
barren trees……bare arms reaching
futilely….to skies…
billowing toxic clouds
burning our lungs…tortured last breaths
the remaining faces…..gaunt…gasping
eyes widened…..looking through…beyond
minds maddened
unable to discern
what now….is reality…or madness
souls blackened
the last vestiges of humanity
completely scoured……free?
litany……voices……chorus
still asking…why?…how?
steadily….and all along
from the first stone thrown
to now, these smoldering lands…as far as the eye can see
pooled with blood……once our own
the stench of death……sickly sweet decay
a return of sorts
to these killing fields…this battlefield earth
our permanent scarring
this certainly will be…..the last time?
our bloodthirst…finally complete?

Wanderlust(of sorts)
Eyes
to the heavens above
finding
imagination….inspiration
daring
only,
as far as there is sky above
only,
as many as there are grains of sand
all this land
waiting underfoot
for just the right soul
many endless….limitless
wanderings….directions
only as much
as self will
allow

snail’s pace
one of many long hours of a workday
the temptation of daydreams
