With only hope to pierce this darkness

 

out of places, out of time…..to run away

with only hope to pierce the darkness

 

fight or flight, with backs up against the wall

with only hope to pierce the darkness

 

lone dissenting voices, lost in a vacuum

with only hope to pierce the darkness

 

a battle against indifference, ignorance, hate, and envy

with only hope to pierce the darkness

 

words, thoughts, and philosophies

with only hope to pierce the darkness

 

an impassioned plea, to open ears and minds

with only hope to pierce the darkness

Another day, another disease

but where the humanity?

fear of any, and all differences

but where the humanity?

pointing fingers, at each other

but where the humanity?

accusation, in countless eyes

but where the humanity?

blind hatred to cover irrational fear

but where the humanity?

where to find a solution?….a cure?

but where the humanity?

starting with

 

unconditional love

 

Care

 

compassion

 

empathy

 

sympathy

 

tolerance

Shimmers(Chant Poem)

 

Between the seasons, summer’s influence fades

 

teased by brilliant sunlight

between the seasons, summer’s influence fades

 

soon, both gray skies and a chilling wind will beckon forth

between the seasons, summer’s influence fades

 

gentle breeze over the waves

between the seasons, summer’s influence fades

 

while the frozen seizing of the lands eventually comes

between the seasons, summer’s influence fades

 

fallen leaves in varying hues, burnt orange and brilliant reds

between the seasons, summer’s influence fades

 

spring’s promise has yet to unfold

between the seasons, summer’s influence fading
