Broken Prose

My friend,

you have blurred

the lines

between

reality and imagination

your

two worlds

now

bleed

into o

ne another

your

pleasure becomes pain

clarity to ambiguity

harmony turned disharmonious

symbols of peace transformed into dregs of war

how the scent of life….and hope

turned into the putrid smell of decay

end

what has been hopelessly

cracked

broken

…..inside of you?

……what

…..who

now

still dares….

to

call your name?

……what of your

dreams…..broken…..splintered

tears……

fears…..

how to look deep through your…..

front

would light

still be allowed

to filter

trickling

through countless broken prisms

oh, dear sweet dysfunction

Ghost of the Present

Ghost of the Present

Living vicariously

just allowing

the shadows to pass

in between places

words..unspoken

hidden regrets

sounds from other times

past places

as the

sights pass from eyes

to gray hidden places

memories off

foggy landscapes

even vaguer recollections

buried deeper

listed between

impossibilities

discerning between

realities and fantasies

mere smoke and ashes

Frayed

Frayed

Teardrops fall

from

closed eyes

steeled heart

holding

still graying secrets

long forgotten

place, time, persons

hastened steps

down blasphemed rows

as

thunderstruck cherubs

gently dropping

tulips

o’er the graves

slain enemies…..once brothers

we each have our time

tell our tale

liberation only

sometimes centuries

after the fact

euphoric smiles join with addled minds

as broken hearts escort age old furies

to the bridge

of separation

our angelic echoes

cascading

into the depths

of

a

dark

looming

eternity

Tanka

sun shines

without fail

two seasons,

quietly pass

lost in our

daydreams

thoughts, life, clouds

silently drift

this bliss,

forever our curse

Yesterdays and Todays(Aftermaths)

hangman’s noose

swirls and rocks

in an ever caustic breeze….

public opinion

ever wraught

flawed

one sided

albeit millions in number

aberrant animus

a dance of blinding hate

not needing of clear and rational minds

eyesight decidedly obscured

determinations

long since concluded

Justice

Fairness

Impartiality

all seemingly obsolete extinct passé

perhaps only sleeping

Shema

 Frozen Ambivalance

Almost Intoxicated by Waves

of Indifference

A Complete Inability

to Ascertain

Truth from Lies,

Where Exaggerations Would

Reign Dominant

Slippery Slopes

Where Neither Footing

nor Gripping Possible

Trading Freely,

Equilibrium for Constant the State of Flux

At the Last Minute

Unforseen Opportunity

To finally Escape

the Clutches of

Blind Servitude

And Shadows of More Gods than Can be Named

That Seemed

to Always

Shadow from Childhood

Finally,

So Foreign

Complete Openness

Tasting for Once

The Sweet Freedom

Of

Independence
