Familiar Voices

to

Receiving Ears

Locking Eyes

Knowing Smiles

Body Languages

Not so Subtle

Anticipations…

Silent Expectations…

Burning

Silent Language

Longing

…Hesitations

Acquiescence to Time

And The Moment Passes….

Anymore

When?

How?

did we learn….CHOOSE

no longer

seeing, looking, hearing, considering, thinking

beyond

SELVES…US…ALL

closed off,

or Illusion of….

safe and hopelessly, helpless, hapless

INSULATED

behind

our own

FORTRESSES

with the tallest walls

thick and Full of

Politics, Religiosity, Prejudices, Intolerance

FEARS

HATE

Exposed

Human Condition 2013

CHANGE

Or Stay Course

CHOICE

Ours

ONE

and

ALL

Exit Stage Left……

Exit Stage Left……

Hello Old Friends

A Simple Nod to Times Past

The Hair is Lesser or Gray These Days

A Bit Crustier We Certainly Are

Few Hours Sharing Laughs, We’ve Not Lost That

Uncovering So Many Exploits Past

How Did The Time Go So Quickly?

Tres Hombres Staring at Fifty

Minus the Hubris of Youth

Acceptance of What Truly Is

No Illusions, No Fear, No Defiance

Just Different Dreams and Wandering Paths

Took the Longest To Figure Out

That the Twinkle was always in Our Eyes

Focus was on Things Far and Distant Places

For a Morning,

Reunited

And Young Again……..

The Wretch(The Return only in the Distance)

Help Save Me

Help Save Me From Myself

The Rub of Jack Ketch’s Stranglehold, the Well Weathered Three Strand Twist of Rope,

Tied Around a Denying Heart,  Forever Unrelenting ,

Steadily Pulled Down into a Foggy Morass,  Own Sentencing,

Judge, Jury, and Executioner at The Ready for Years

Layered Guilt, and Self Loathing So Deep and  Under Hard and Rocky Soils

And Time Quells Not The Cold Fears

A Freedom Only a Willingness Away

(To Openly Forgive,  be Able  to Ask Forgiveness,  Make Amends)

Footprints(Where Giants Once Walked)

I Give Heed,

Visions, Words, and Experiences.

All Seem to have been Ruminated Over,

By The Greatest Minds Over Time.

Not Stepping into

But, an Honest Try at Reinterpretation.

Perhaps Seeing What Could Be Left,

the Tidbits and Morsels Left to be Discovered.

The Modern Day,

A Place Where I Truly Exist, and give Witness To.

Alas, Human Elements Bleed onto and Help Colour Interpretation,

(But) An Honest Attempt at Giving Witness to.
