upon darkened skies

stormbringer’s looming wrath comes

revisited fears

Mishigami(Great Water)

Green and Blue

Grand swells of the lake, such a deceptive beauty

How many mysteries do your waters hold?

Giving no quarter

How many a skilled mariner’s vessel adorn thine murky bottom?

Price paid in full for braving her storms and squalls

Aftermath

The Storm Finally Blows Over

Only Leaving Opportunity

to let Winter Back In

Tanka

Low Dark Sky Threatens

Fury of Storm No Mercy

Earthen Expanse Waits

Deluges Bane Released Full

Light Hope Renewal After

Raging

Posted in Free Verse Poetry with tags , , , , on November 9, 2012 by lengesinski

Raging

She Rages

Absolute Fury Displayed

Dearth of Compassion

As the Winds Howled Louder and Harder

The Sea was Pushed Up Over The Land

No Quarter, No Quarter

As Lives, Homes, and All Things Equally

Were Laid to Waste

A Final Relenting, Passing

Aftermath

Picking Up The Many Broken Pieces, Resetting, Resettling

Reality Slaps the Face Again

Counting and Feeling The Full Effect of Loss
